Cake Poker Rakeback - 33% Rake Back

Cake Poker logo

Cake Poker Summary

Cake Poker is something as rare as a poker site that both allows US players and has EU status. New players are offered a sizable sign-up bonus (100% up to $500) and 33 % rakeback. However, the bonus you earn is deducted from the rake. The player traffic is still quite low, but Cake Poker offers many interesting tournaments and loose cash games, so the site definitely has potential.

Full Review

Cake Poker opened its virtual doors in 2005 and has grown slowly but steadily since then. The site is the leading room in the Cake Poker network, which includes a number of small poker rooms such as Sportsbook.com and BetUSPoker.com. The traffic numbers are not huge - around 800 cash-game players and 2 000 tournament players during peak hours. Cake Poker offers Texas Hold'em, Omaha, Omaha Hi/Lo, Seven-Card Stud and Seven-card Stud Hi/Lo but the traffic is concentrated to the Hold'em section and there are rarely any stud tables active.

The software is visually appealing with realistic avatars. Games run smoothly and the tables are easily overviewed. The lobby, however, feels a bit clustered and navigation is quite complicated, but it shows all vital table statistics and once you get the hang of how the lobby is organized, it's easy to find whatever game you wish to play.

Cake Poker offers quite a few interesting tournaments, including various freerolls, satellites, private games, regular sit and gos and multitable tournaments. Since Cake Poker includes all tournament fees in MGR/net rake, the site is a good choice for tournament players who wish to play with rakeback.
